Big Thunder Gold Mine

Just outside Keystone, SD is the Big thunder Mine.

We took a 30 minute tour of the mine, complete with

hard hats and arsenic. Almost half way through the tour our guide,

who slightly resembled the hamburger guy from Popeye,

told us we might not want to touch the walls, because

the white marbeling in the rock was actually arsenic. But

at least it kept out the rats and bats. This is Elmer the miner. Liam didn't

like the look of him. He had shifty eyes. Abram thought he would show

Elmer who was boss.

Abram was trying to get away from this

cute little girl who started chasing him. Run, Abram!
