Yes, we really call my grandma Ooky(ew-kee).
It's a nickname she's had all her life and I never
knew her real name(Raye Maurice) until I was a teenager.
I guess Ooky was better than Raye. Anyway she
came to visit for 3 weeks from Texas. She is 81 and
she flew here all by herself, oh yeah she is almost
deaf so "she don't hear real well." She is the
funniest old woman you'll meet. She loves to play
cards and she is up for anything, almost. It was
a lot of fun for the boys to really spend time
with her and get to know her. She played cards
with the boys and played in the snow with them, and
she made shrimp gumbo, too.
