Halloween Fun

Callahan the Vampire

Abram the Cowboy
He loved his moustache and was very serious about his costume

You can't have a cowboy without an Indian (Princess)
Yeah, she really wore the wig all night....it was awesome

And this is the most powerful man in the Universe (He-Man)
And yeah, he wore his wig too!

By the power of Gray Skull

I have the POWERRRRRR!

The kids had a really fun Halloween. Emme and Liam lasted a couple hours, and then were done. I took Callahan and Abram for some heavy-hitting trick-or-treating at the fancy houses, while Brian, Liam and Emme watched movies in the car and sampled our loot. At the end of the night Abram was wore out and we had wayyyy too much candy. Complete Success

This year I wimped out and didn't do the actual pumpkin carving. These new potato head things are great. No mess, or clean up...just stick em' on. It wasn't quite as fun but fun enough.

Liam was very proud of his pumkin' creation.

Abram loved picking out the different sets of ears and eyes

Callahan favored the puppy dog parts

Of course Emme's pumpkin had to be the pig. Her Daddy calls her Ms. Piggy because she squeals like a little pig whenever she doesn't get her way.

FALL

For Family Night we took a drive up Santaquin Canyon to see the fall leaves.

Had to try and take some pictures.

I don't know why my kids don't like to smile for pictures.
They're cute anyway.

Emme...so cute

All dressed up for Sunday. Mommy even curled her hair...it lasted for about an hour. Oh well, that's why I got a picture of her.

EMME-Master of the Chairs (and noses)

Emme likes to climb up the chairs..

And play on Mommy's computer

She's very proud of herself

She Found A New Hole
What a goofball!

That is not "pretty as a flower."

Mommy's Big Helper

Liam sure loves his baby sister!
He's so proud that he helped Emme take her nap.

She's a whole cone girl

Emme ate all of her dinner, so Brian thought she deserved a whole ice cream cone, like the boys'.

Mommy was not so sure about this.

"Stop lookin' at my cone!"

Twister Fun

You spin and I'll "twister."

Liam kept telling Emme she wasn't spinning it right.
So, Mommy helped Emme call out the colors.

Horseback riding with Vance family

Okay, this was a Vance get together to ride Grandpa Vance's "tame " horses. It was at a cousin's (or some other relation to Grandma Vance) house in Provo. It was in August but I've been a slacker, sorry. Not that I can tell if anyone looks at the blog. That's right, I'm talking to you! Don't be afraid to leave a comment! The only one that leaves comments is Sunshine. Thank you Sunshine:)

CUTE COUISINS
This is Lori Vance's daughter, Ayla. (And Liam).
So Cute!

Ayla and Emme were both born in August.
I know Emme looks small, but she's really not.

Emme was very interested in Ayla, but a little aggresive.

This is Blondie. He is a very stubborn horse. Pretty though. Obviously I did not dress appropriatley for horse-back riding. Capris and flip flops are not ideal for riding, not sure what I was thinking. I used to have horses in high school, so I should know better. I do in fact own boots(I live in Mona. It's pretty much a pre-requisite), but I thought that "someone else" would be riding with the kids.

I still had alot of fun, despite the flip flops.

Callahan loved the horses. He did not want to stop riding. He even got a cousin to lead while he rode all by himself, which I unfortunately did not get a picture of. It was a lot of fun!

Tami helping out.

We decided to go camping over Labor Day weekend
in Goshen Canyon. It's about 25 minutes from our
house, which was nice. We had the meadow all to
ourselves, too. Mr. and Mrs. Koop joined our little
clan and we had fun riding 4-wheelers and hiking
around the hills. There was a little creek that ran
around the camping spot, which was sort of nice.
It made for a lot of mosquitos and a lot of stress
for Mommy. Emme doesn't know boundaries
yet, so she wanted to just walk right in.

Grandma Betty and Granpa Bruce even visited
us AND brought ice cream. The ice cream made
it all the way from Payson(about 30 minutes away).
The ice cream was nice and soft......
and just a little bit messy

Emme even had her own cone...

Thanks Grandma Betty!

We had just bought some wet suits for
Callahan and Abram for next summer, but
we decided to let them try it out in the creek.
Liam thought he wanted to go swimming, but
quickly changed his mind when he actually
got in. I guess it was a little cold.

Emme tried her best to join the boys but
ended up having to sit with Daddy and
eat pretzels.

We invited my sister Brittany, too. The boys
have fun with their Aunt. She's not afraid to get a
little dirty and she didn't want to miss out on the fun
just because she forgot a bathing suit.

The water wasn't very deep, so we sat in our camping chairs
and watched the fun. The water was a little questionable to me,
but I tried not to think of what was in the black icky sludge
they were walking on.
